What is the Sun NXT app?

Sun NXT is an app that offers content in six different languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi. The app carries a large collection of movies, including Tamil classics and latest releases. Sun NXT also offers a variety of content ranging from TV shows, live TV shows, news, music videos, kids' shows, comedy clips, to trailers.

Starting 29th April 2025 onwards, Sun NXT will be available on Astro via two tiers:

• Sun NXT Lite: Complimentary for Indian Favourites/Maharaja Pack customers only, with content similar to 6 Sun channels (SUN TV HD, SUN MUSIC HD, SUN LIFE, SUN NEWS, ADITHYA & KTV,) and Video On Demand (VOD) content (TV shows), with more than 2000 hours of content.
• Sun NXT Premium: Available to all Astro customers for only RM 25.00/month (RRP RM28.00) with an expanded access to the full Sun NXT library.
